Jennifer Lawrence stars in this biographical drama about Joy
Mangano, the inventor of the Miracle Mop. Single mother of three
Joy Mangano (Lawrence) has always dreamed of a better life for her
family, but with her father (Robert De Niro)'s constant belittling
of her skills and her mother (Isabella Rossellini)'s insistence on
her remaining a mother and nothing more, Joy's determination to
make something of herself takes over and she sets about starting up
her own business to prove her parents wrong. When an executive
(Bradley Cooper) of the Home Shopping Network shows an interest in
her idea for a self-wringing mop, Joy's life takes a dramatic turn
as she finds her identity changing from mother to inventor and
entrepreneur.
*WITH A FOREWORD FROM REESE WITHERSPOON* A collection of deeply
personal conversations from award-winning actress and activist
Laura Dern and the woman she admires most, her mother-legendary
actress Diane Ladd. What happens when we are brave enough to speak
our truths to the ones we love the most? Laura Dern and Diane Ladd
always had a close relationship, but the stakes were raised when
Diane developed a sudden life-threatening illness. Diane's doctor
prescribed long walks to build back her lung capacity. The exertion
was challenging, and Laura soon learned the best way to distract
her mom was to get her talking and telling stories. Their
conversations along the way began to break down the traditional
barriers between mothers and daughters. They discussed the most
personal topics: love, sex, marriage, divorce, art, ambition, and
legacy. In Honey, Baby, Mine, Laura and Diane share these
conversations, as well as reflections and anecdotes, taking readers
on an intimate tour of their lives. Complementing these candid
exchanges, they have included photos, family recipes, and other
mementos. The result is a celebration of the power of leaving
nothing unsaid that will make you want to call the people you love
the most and start talking.

search for meaning and self-worth in her life. Lucy Fowler (Judd)
is a contractor for a construction firm run by Owen Allen (Stacy
Keach). In between caring for her reclusive alcoholic father (Scott
Wilson) and spending time with her family - grandmothers Doll
(Candyce Hinkle) and Nana (Diane Ladd) and uncle Tim (Tim Blake
Nelson) - Lucy spends her weekends getting drunk in the local bar
and sleeping with anonymous men. When she meets Cal Percell
(Jeffrey Donovan), the new guy in town, it seems that Lucy might
finally have found fulfilment, but it soon becomes apparent that
she still has demons to confront.
Joel Hershman writes and directs this cult American comedy. Spoiled
heiress Twinkle (Sean Young) catches Bud (Max Parrish) stealing
from her rich parents. Rather than stop him she aids him on the
condition that he travels with her to Las Vegas and marries her.
However, even with a gun to his head at the altar, Bud is unable to
say 'I do' and a struggle occurs in which the gun goes off.
Believing that he has killed Twinkle, Bud flees to California with
two hundred thousand dollars of stolen cash. On his journey west,
he meets a sex-addicted stripper called Sabra (Andrea Naschak) and
her younger sister Dannie (Adrienne Shelly) and together they hide
out from the pursuing law...

One of the seminal American films of the 1970s, Roman Polanski's
detective yarn sees murder and scandal emerge from the drought of
1930s Southern California. Private eye Jake Gittes (Jack Nicholson)
is hired to follow water commissioner Hollis Mulwray (Darrell
Zwerling), only to see him turn up dead at the bottom of a
reservoir. Realising he has been used, Gittes confronts Mulwray's
widow, Evelyn (Faye Dunaway), a woman who seems to have plenty of
secrets of her own, not least her ambiguous relationship with her
father, Noah Cross (John Huston).
